MXM Architects 및 (주)M-C Corporation을 이끌고 있으며, 국민대학교 건축학과 겸임교수로 재직 중이다. Cornell 대학교 건축대학원(M.Arch 2) 및 한양대학교 건축공학부/건축대학원, 연세대 공학대학원(전기전자공학)을 졸업하였다. MXM Architects 설립이전 미국 SOM(Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, LLP)사의 뉴욕 및 시카고 오피스, Gensler 등 에서 실무를 쌓았다.

2018 청주시 아름다운 건축상 금상(청주 A-Line 치과병원), 2015 강남구 아름다운 건축상 작품상(세듀출판 사옥), 2015 젊은건축가 해외문화교류 우수상(Robots in Architecture)을 수상하였다. 이외 주요 작품으로 성수동 트러스톤 자산운용 사옥, 역삼동 (주)투판즈 사옥, 청담동 트윈타워, 잠원동 커피빈 빌딩 등이 있다.

건축설계 실무와 함께, Digital Fabrication을 건축실무에 접목하기 위한 진지한 노력을 병행하고 있다. 2016년 Robotic Fabrication Lab을 설립, 이후 소속 연구원들과 함께 건축 프로젝트 적용을 위한 연구와 실험을 진행 중이다.

Principal, Founder

He is a principal of MXM Architects and also a CEO of M-C Corporation. He is also teaching at Kookmin University as an adjunct professor. Prior to MXM, Mr. Lee practiced at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP. He received a Master of Architecture 2 from Cornell University and a BS in Architectural Engineering & M. Arch from Hanyang University in Seoul. He also received a MS in Electrical Engineering from Yonsei University.

He received a gold prize from Cheongju City in 2018(A-line Dental Hospital), an honorable mention from Gangnam borough(Cedu Books) of Seoul in 2015. He also received an excellence award in 2015 for his research based trip(Robots in Architecture) funded by Korea Institute of Architects and Korea Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. His other major works includes Trustone Asset Head Office Tower in Seongsu, Twoponds Books Head Office Tower in Yeoksam, Twin Towers in Chungdam and Coffee Bean Building in Jamwon.

Along with his architectural design practice, he is making serious efforts to apply Digital Fabrication Technology to his architecture practice. He established Robotic Fabrication Lab in 2016 and has been conducting researches and experimentations with his affiliated researchers.
