신희찬은 현재 글로벌 엔지니어링 회사 ARUP의 미국 LA 오피스에서 BIM Manager로 근무하며, 프로젝트 설계 및 시공 데이터 구축/품질관리와 설계 자동화 도구의 개발/운영을 담당하고 있다. 이전에는 Skidmore Owings & Merrill과 Gehry Technologies에서 건축설계와 컴퓨테이셔널 디자인 컨설팅을 리드했으며, 특히 비정형 설계에 대한 오랜 경험과 지식을 쌓았다. 실무중심의 경험을 바탕으로 건축/ 엔지니어링/ 패브리케이션/ 시공까지의 통합적인 BIM 운용에 대한 연구를 진행하고 있다.

Heechan Shin currently works as a BIM Manager in Los Angeles office of ARUP, a global engineering company. He is responsible for the application of design technology and strategic advisory on BIM data processing for building design and construction. Also, he is researching algorithmic tools for building BIM standards and improving design QA along with the development of design automation. Previously, as a senior architect / computational design specialist in SOM, he focused on advanced geometry management and high-performance design analysis. And as a technical manager at Gehry Technologies (Trimble), he provided professional consulting on the design and fabrication of complex shaped buildings. Based on his practical experiences, he is conducting researches on integrated BIM operation on overall AEC disciplines.
